Once we're in the elevator and you've pushed the button, we could go anywhere - it just won't be anywhere that looks like you expect it to.
I make no promises to anyone about anything here, and I don't owe anyone explanations, justifications, or compliance with expectations, just so we're clear.
I will bring what feels the most real to me, with thoughtfulness, integrity, skill, and as much goodness as I'm capable of.
You need to bring your own thoughtfulness, respect, integrity, and skill, including your ability to handle your own responses to whatever I bring.
We don't have to agree, and it's actually (mostly) fine if we don't - a distressingly novel idea at this stage of human evolution.
As long as we're both OK if we don't agree, and we can respond to one another without trying to force that agreement or punish each other for its absence, we'll do great.
Writing
I write about all kinds of things here. I have a channel just for archetypal-astrological stuff, since that's how a lot of people know my work, as well as for just fiction, just poetry, just "musings on the world at large," etc.
The fiction and poetry is behind the paywall for now, and I'll likely also put the pieces that require more nuance and thoughtfulness than most people in public spaces seem capable of these days.
Podcast Coming Soon
Right now this is just my writing, but I have a podcast of the same name coming around mid-year. Most episodes will be free, but I'll be doing experimental, extra-intimate, and/or special stuff just for subscribed folks.
Community
I'm still learning how Ghost allows community to form, and I'm not sure if it will do what I want it to do or not - but creating something closer to actual community (not just groups of people who tend to behave badly and then implode) is extremely important to me. I'll be staying tuned to what is possible here.
Start your own thing
So far I think Ghost is an excellent home for writing and other kinds of content - the other options have various issues that eventually ruled them out for me, and so far I've been quite impressed.
I'm not a person looking to make $$ through SEO-driven numbers games, so if that's your gig this might not be the best fit - I'm just here to talk about real, often hard shit with real, often struggling humans, and for that it's pretty fantastic. Check them out if you want to do your thing too.
